Who are the Clinical Research Group
The Clinical Research Group (CRG), is dedicated to advancing clinical research in Maternal, Fetal, and Perinatal medicine, CRG serves as a platform for patient and public involvement. Comprising a diverse team of doctors, scientists, researchers, midwives, nurses, and support staff, we collaborate closely with women and families to spearhead research in reproduction, obstetrics, and gynaecology.
Our high-quality studies ranges from pre-pregnancy to the postpartum period, and general women's health studies.
The Clinical Research Group (NDWRH CRG), formerly OSPREA-Gynae, is a collaborative initiative between the Nuffield Department of Women's & Reproductive Health (an integral part of the University of Oxford) and the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUHFT). It is also supported by the Thames Valley & South Midlands Clinical Research Network, affiliated with the National Institute for Health Research.
CURRENT TRIALS
We run a range of trials for women before pregnancy, women and their babies during and after pregnancy, as well as general women’s health studies. We can also refer you to other local research departments who are running pregnancy related studies.

Based on Level 4 of the Women's Centre at the John Radcliffe Hospital, we have a dedicated research unit with private consulting rooms, scanning rooms and waiting area. The unit is connected to the Ultrasound Department – via the Ultrasound Department waiting area.
