Charlotte Black

Clinical Research Quality Assurance Manager

Charlotte joined the Nuffield Department of Women's and Reproductive Health (NDWRH) in 2019 as the Clinical Research Manager of the Clinical Research Group (formerly OSPREA). More recently her focus has turned to quality assurance, sharing best practice, enhancing local standard operating procedures, identifying risks and mitigating strategies, interpreting regulatory and audit requirements and providing advice, training and support to staff.

Originally trained as a physiotherapist, she worked in the UK and Singapore before completing a master’s degree in 2015 and pursing an interest in clinical research. Her role prior to NDWRH was as a Project Manager for the Oxford Vaccine Group, where she was responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clinical trials and research into vaccinology and infectious diseases including RSV, Meningitis B, Pertussis, Ebola and Typhoid fever.
