Research Assistant
I joined the Nuffield Department of Women's and Reproductive Health in 2010, working as a Research Technician for the Oxford Safer Pregnancy Alliance (OSPREA) for 4 years before being appointed to the position of Research Midwifery Assistant in 2014.
As a Research Midwifery Assistant, I work closely with the doctors, scientists, research midwives and technicians within OSPREA to support recruitment and care of participants in a number of obstetric studies. I am also responsible for completing research documentation and maintaining Trial Master Files; taking clinical observations for research; and collecting and processing samples when necessary. I am sometimes required to work with the Research Technicians to retrieve frozen samples and arrange their dispatch to other laboratories within the UK and overseas.
I currently coordinate the NCSS Serum Study at Oxford.
