Senior Research Midwife

I have a degree in Nutrition Health and Lifestyles (BSc Hons) with an interest in public health. This interest led me into midwifery, qualifying as a midwife in 2010. I moved to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital as a clinical midwife working in both the hospital and community setting until January 2015, where I moved to Oxford and the John Radcliffe Hospital. I commenced a research secondment from the NHS in May 2015 to act as a ‘link midwife’, with the aim of bridging the gap between research and practice. The role is very diverse and rewarding, and I have seen first-hand the importance of research in practice to ensure gold standard care for women and their families.
