It was established in 2013 as a partnership between the University of Oxford and the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Reproductive Medicine & Genetics
The Reproductive Medicine and Genetics Theme comprises a broad range of Research Groups spanning the roles of Cellular DNA and Mitochondria in reproduction and women’s health, the diagnosis and management of pain in women and related diseases, as well as fertility preservation, miscarriage, and the biology of sperm and oocytes. The theme also includes our Research Centre, EndoCaRe – the internationally acclaimed Oxford Endometriosis Research Centre. Global Health
The Global Health Theme brings together several research groups within the department that are consistently advancing the field through strong international collaborations and impactful research.
