Celebrating Women & Girls in Science

Women and girls play a critical role in science and technology communities and their participation should be strengthened. Here, we showcase some of the amazing female students at the Nuffield Department of Women's and Reproductive Health.

Did you know that women are typically given smaller research grants than their male colleagues and while they represent 33.3% of all researchers, only 12% of members of national science academies are women? In order to help achieve gender equality, the United Nations General Assembly declared 11th February as the annual International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
