Adam Devall
Professor of Maternal Health Clinical Trials
Adam is a clinical trials academic whose programme focuses on miscarriage, infertility and postpartum haemorrhage. He manages a portfolio of national and international trials and is Deputy Director of Tommy's National Centre for Miscarriage Research. His work encompasses trial design and governance, implementation in low, middle and high income countries, trial statistician collaboration and clinician engagement to ensure evidence changes care.
Several of these trials have been published in high impact journals and have led directly to updates in national and international guidance and to measurable changes in clinical pathways and training.
He maintains active collaborations with clinical networks, guideline committees and international bodies including the World Health Organization and implementation partners to translate trial findings into practice.
