Biography and Interests

Academic History
Shishir Rao finished his DPhil at the University of Oxford under the supervision of Professor Kazem Rahimi and his Master of Science in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Oxford. Prior to postgraduate studies, he finished his undergraduate studies majoring in Mathematics and Computer Science at New York University. 
Research Interests
  • Deep learning model development for multimodal EHR and other modalities
  • Risk prediction of cardiovascular conditions and related outcomes
  • Development of deep learning of architectures for causal inference and explainability in the multi-type EHR setting.
  • Cardiometabolic multimorbidity and cardiovascular risk/protective factors
