Nouman has completed a dual-degree MSc under the Erasmus Mundus Language and Communication Technologies (EMLCT) program from the University of Groningen, Netherlands, and University of Basque Country, Spain. Before this, Nouman has completed his undergraduate in Software Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technologies
Professional History
Nouman has worked previously as a Data Engineer for MatrixianGroup, Netherlands focusing mainly on building automated pipelines for regular data collection and processing for the company's ML models. Nouman started his career as a software engineer at Arbisoft, Pakistan focusing on building web and mobile applications
Research History
Nouman has done most of his research in AI, focusing on building ML/DL models for computer vision and NLP. He started doing the research in computer vision focusing on unsupervised learning for classification of remote sensing imagery. He focused on NLP research during his masters, working on low-resource Machine Translation, fake news detection, and building low-resource embeddings for scientific domain.
