Lesa Levett

As the Head of Administration and Finance, reporting to Professor Krina Zondervan, I am responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the Department.  My team provides a comprehensive administrative and financial service to the Department, from booking travel and conferences, managing communication channels, processing office moves, producing and monitoring cost-effective budgets, and simply recruiting the best people for the Department. 

I have over 20 years of experience working at a senior strategic level and have worked in both public and private sector organisations, driving through improvements in all areas of operations.  I spent seven years with Hitachi Europe Ltd., Research and Development Division, as Senior Research Administrator, managing Satellite Laboratories set within European Universities and another five years auditing Universities for the General Optical Council, ensuring undergraduate and postgraduate programmes met the requirements for accreditation.   

I have an MSc in Human Resource Management and a BA (Hons) in Business Administration; I am a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development.
