Kirralise Hansford

Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Pain Data Collection and Analysis for BRC funded PrePOSE study

I am a post-doc researcher in the Pain in Women and the EndoCaRe research groups.

I am interested in investigating how the body and brain perceive chronic pain, and the intersection between chronic pain and neurodivergent conditions.

I am currently working on the PrePOSE study, which aims to predict pain outcomes of surgery for  Endometriosis.

I undertook a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuroimaging at the University of York, which investigated non-pharmaceutical treatment methods for chronic hand-based pain using EEG, questionnaires, bodily illusions, and visual analogue pain rating scales.

I completed my MSc in Neuroimaging Methods and Applications at Cardiff University, and my BSc (Hons) in Psychology at the University of Plymouth.
