Jeannette Majert

DrMed

Clinical Research Fellow

Jeannette is a Clinical Research Fellow in the Deep Medicine Programme who investigates the management of high blood pressure in older patients with underlying chronic health conditions and seeks new approaches to conducting clinical trials in remote settings. She has a keen interest in public health research, clinical trials and evidence-based health care practices.

Originally from Germany, Jeannette took clinical electives in Germany and Switzerland and graduated in medicine at Bochum University. In working on her first postgraduate research degree (DrMed), she gained valuable knowledge and practical experience in clinical trials while investigating the physiological effects of UVA1 radiation on the skin. Before joining Professor Kazem Rahimi’s team at the George Institute for Global Health, Jeannette embarked as an academic clinical trainee in dermatology. In addition to her work as a Clinical Research Fellow, she is currently enrolled in an MSc course in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
