BIOGRAPHY

I am a student at Green Templeton College, pursuing a DPhil in Women’s and Reproductive Health, with a particular focus on the pathophysiology of pre-eclampsia under the supervision of Prof Manu Vatish, Dr Wei Zhang and Prof Kypros Nicolaides.

Prior joining NDWRH, Efsaia completed her MBBS in Greece and an MSc in Prenatal Genetics and Fetal Medicine at UCL. In 2018 she joined as a Research Fellow the Fetal Medicine Foundation UK, based at the Harris Birthright Centre at King’s College Hospital under the supervision of Prof Kypros Nicolaides. Following this, she completed her foundation clinical training in London (FY1 King's College Hospital). She held a formal teaching role in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Imperial College London’s School of Medicine, based at Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea Hospital (Aug 2022-Aug 2023). She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), which is a recognition of her commitment to advancing teaching and learning in higher education. Worked as a Senior House Officer (SHO) in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at University College London Hospital (UCLH); Aug 2023-July 2024.
