Debbie has over 24 years of clinical research experience working in the roles of administrator, clinical research associate, project manager, trial manager and self-employed consultant.
Her initial experience was gained within the pharmaceutical industry working on large multi-centre Phase II and III CTIMP trials in a variety of therapeutic areas. She has also been involved in the design and implementation of interactive technology systems for centrally controlled patient randomisation and trial supply management. In 2016 she joined the department to work on the Support-HF2 trial investigating the use of remote monitoring to manage patients with heart failure and from 2019 she worked on the ATEMPT trial, a pilot study investigating the use of blood pressure-lowering treatment in older patients with multiple chronic diseases, both projects working with Kazem Rahimi . In October 2022 she joined Sally Collins as the trial manager for the OxPLUS study, a observational study to assess the clinical utility of the OxNNet Toolkit for the prediction of adverse pregnancy outcomes. She also works with Antoniya Georgieva as a project manager for the Oxford Labour Monitoring group.
