Carrie White

Research Nurse

I am a Research Nurse in the Pain in Women research group led by Prof Vincent, currently working on the RoADPain study, which investigates dysmenorrhoea (period pain) in adolescents.

Qualifying as an adult nurse with a BSc (hons) from UWE Bristol in 1993, I have had an extensive career working in both adult and paediatric client groups, in hospital settings and in the community with a particular focus on adolescents.

I have recently worked as a practice nurse within a GP surgery specialising in family planning and immunisation.  I am an experienced research nurse working for many years as senior paediatric research nurse and practice educator at Oxford Vaccine Group, leading studies researching new vaccines to protect against Covid19, meningitis type B and C, TB and RSV. I have also had the role of teaching fellow at Oxford Brookes University teaching undergraduate students on the Nursing Degree course.
