I joined the Nuffield Department of Women's & Reproductive Health in October 2024 to accomplish my DPhil in Women’s and Reproductive Health with the EndoCaRe group. My DPhil project focuses on evaluating the potential role of somatic cancer driver mutations in endometriosis pathogenesis and development of clinically apparent progesterone resistance in patients diagnosed with endometriosis.
My DPhil project is supervised by Professor Krina Zondervan, Professor Christian Becker, Dr Nilufer Rahmioglu, and Professor James Segars. My DPhil is supported by a Clarendon Scholarship and the National Institutes of Health, USA.
I received my medical training from Manipal Academy of Higher Education, India, followed by post graduate training in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and training in Healthcare Management and Leading Organizations (MS HCM and MBA) from the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School.
My basic and translational clinical research is focused on benign gynecologic conditions such as fibroids, endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), adenomyosis, and infertility. I focus my public health research on impact of gynecologic diseases on quality of life and access to care research specifically targeting period poverty, LGBTQ+ healthcare and reproductive rights. My healthcare management research focusses on utilizing process flow engineering models to remove bottlenecks and increase efficiency in delivering care in assisted reproductive technology centers and basic sciences laboratories.
