Why did you choose to do a DPhil/MSc by Research in the Nuffield Department Women’s and Reproductive Health? MSci (Hons) Emily Hyde - DPhil Student & Student Committee Social and Welfare Rep

I was initially drawn to Oxford because of its reputation, and to the NDWRH specifically because I enjoyed studying reproductive science in my undergraduate degree. I was excited by the prospect of being able to combine scientific, clinical and industrial methods of research to my chosen research project, which I have been able to do to through the opportunities available to me as part of the NDWRH.

What do you find most interesting?

The huge variability in the research conducted within the department! Everyone is doing something unique.

What are your post-DPhil/MSc by Research plans?

My DPhil is in partnership with a biotech company, so I hope to keep working with them post-DPhil or with another biotech company on research and development.
