Seminars and Events

There are a wide range of different departmental, divisional and University-wide events throughout the year which are open to graduate students, including:

Departmental Seminars

The Nuffield Department of Women's & Reproductive Health host departmental seminars once a week, covering a range of different subjects. This is an excellent opportunity to find out about the different research that is going on in the department, and a chance for you to have a go at presenting your own work. See list of seminar speakers and topics here

Graduate Student Symposium

The Graduate Student Symposium is a student-run event which takes place every November. It provides students in the Nuffield Department of Women's & Reproductive Health with an opportunity to practice presenting talks and posters to a friendly audience. There are also prizes to be won!

Department Away Day

Students in the Nuffield Department of Women's & Reproductive Health are also invited to take part in our annual departmental away day, which is run for all members of the department. This is usually a combination of talks in the morning, with a fun, team-building activity in the afternoon, for example, a treasure hunt or punting.

Medical Science Division and University Events

The MSD also runs events such as their annual DPhil Day, which provides an excellent opportunity for inter-departmental networking. The University runs an annual ‘GRAD Challenge’, which involves DPhil students across the whole University in a challenging three-day workshop.
