Biography

My interest in women's health research, particularly postpartum haemorrhage (PPH), began with my involvement in the landmark E-MOTIVE trial (New England Journal of Medicine, 2023). I am currently looking at knowledge gaps in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of PPH under the supervision of Professor Arri Coomarasamy.

I have first author publications in The Lancet and the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, and I was part of the evidence synthesis team for the WHO-FIGO-ICM consolidated guidelines for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of PPH (2025), and PPH definition reappraisal (2025). I am currently contributing to the WHO guideline update on gestational diabetes and WHO workstream on pre-eclampsia.

I studied medicine at the University of Cambridge, and work as a GP Partner and a Training Programme Director. I am a trustee of the Mac Bevan Charitable Trust, which has supported projects to reduce maternal deaths in low-income countries.
