Peter Kilbride
Lead Researcher in Cryobiology
My focus is to apply expertise from cryopreservation to reproductive health, focusing on determining impact of, and then improving the cryopreservation of ovaries from young girls so that their fertility can be restored when they have beaten cancer.
My research aims to ensure cancer survivors have the best quality of life post-recovery. Practically, I work in the lab, supervise students, contribute to national standards and guidelines, engage and build collaborations with the broader scientific community, and seek opportunities to expand the team and deploy research rapidly in real-world cases.
