ABOUT
My work focuses on teaching and training in reproductive biology, informed by a research background in endometrial biology and single-cell genomics. I am particularly interested in translating research into meaningful education and innovation in women’s health.
BACKGROUND
I completed a BSc (Hons) in Reproductive Biology at the University of Edinburgh, graduating with a First Class degree, followed by an MSc in Regenerative Biology and Medicine at TU Dresden. As part of my MSc, I undertook my thesis at Monash University and the Hudson Institute of Medical Research under the supervision of Prof Caroline Gargett, focusing on endometrial stem cells.
I then completed an MRC-funded DPhil in Women’s & Reproductive Health at the University of Oxford, working with Prof Krina Zondervan, Prof Christian Becker, and Dr Roser Vento-Tormo, including a year based at the Wellcome Sanger Institute. My research focused on the human endometrium and endometriosis, using single-cell genomics alongside organoid and co-culture models.
Following my DPhil, I held a MRC-funded postdoctoral position across the University of Oxford and the Wellcome Sanger Institute, before moving into a women’s health technology start-up. There, I led research strategy and developed collaborations across academia, clinical practice, and industry. I continue to support the company as a member of its Scientific Advisory Board.
