Zhiyuan Hu
PhD
Postdoctoral Research Assistant
Zhiyuan is currently a postdoc in Professor Ahmed’s group at the University of Oxford. She is now focusing on using single-cell approaches to investigate the cells-of-origin of ovarian cancer. Her work integrates both wet lab and computational analysis.
After learning biological science for four years in Peking University, the top university in China, she graduated as the top of the class from the Honors Program. During her DPhil at the Wellcome Centre for Human Genetics and the MRC Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine, she was co-supervised by Professor Ahmed Ahmed and Professor Christopher Yau. She studied nonsense-mediated decay in pan-cancer genomes and single-cell transcriptomics of the origin of ovarian cancer.
