- PI group: Prof Sally Collins
I completed BSc Sonography at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana in 2016. I pursued MSc Medical Ultrasound at the University of Derby and graduated in 2020 with a Distinction. I worked within the Obstetrics and Gynecology Directorate at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, the second largest tertiary hospital in Ghana and was an integral member of the newly established Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit where I offered advanced fetal ultrasound services in high risk pregnancies and offered ultrasound training for the Maternal fetal medicine fellowship program. I was also involved in the obstetric ultrasound training for the undergraduate medical imaging students and the Radiology residency program.
I was a founding member of the multidisciplinary team on congenital fetal anomalies which consisted of several pediatric surgical teams, pediatric cardiologists and neonatologists.
I have a special research interest in advanced obstetric imaging with a focus on placental, growth and congenital abnormalities. I have been involved in several research projects in these areas and have published articles in leading journals in the field.
I joined the OxPlus project led by Professor Sally Collins in 2023. The team is working on a novel technology that evaluates the risk of fetal growth restriction in the 1st trimester using 3D volume of the placenta.
