Research Midwife

I completed a Masters in Nursing Science at the University of Nottingham (2003-2007) before coming to Oxford to practice as a nurse. I worked in tropical and infectious diseases and spent a short time working in Cambodia on a study investigating malarial drug resistance.

I then went on to study midwifery at Oxford Brookes University and qualified in 2010. I have since worked in a variety of settings within the John Radcliffe Hospital including Delivery Suite, The Spires and Level 7.

Current work

I joined the Nuffield department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2014 following a long term interest in research and evidence based care.  I am a Research Midwife working on OxWATCH-Oxfordshire Women and Their Children's Health. My role within OxWATCH is to assist in the identification and recruitment of participants and to conduct the biopsychosocial assessments for the pre-pregnancy and pregnancy phases of the study.
