I am a second year in the CDT for Health Data Science and am now part of Prof. Chris Yau’s group where I do statistical machine learning. In particular, we are looking at the development of unsupervised and semisupervised algorithms in the presence of rare groups- for which there are few observations that hold high significance. We aim to apply this in the context of ovarian cancer, where identifying abnormal yet infrequent cell types from single-cell datasets could aid in diagnosis.
Prior, I completed an MSc in Biomathematics from UCLA and a BSc(Mathematics)/BE (Mechanical) from the University of Queensland.
