Danielle Leeds

Oxford Fertility Research Midwife

I qualified as a midwife in 2016 with a First class Honours degree in Midwifery from the West Of London University. I worked clinically as a midwife at the Oxford University Hospital NHS foundation Trust , based between the Delivery suite offering high risk intrapartum care and also as part of the Vale community team offering antenatal, postnatal and low risk intrapartum care.

In 2020 -2021 I had a secondment working in the influenza clinic at the John Radcliffe Hospital, and during the pandemic helped in coronavirus clinics as a vaccinator.

I first became interested in research during my time at university and this was only strengthened when I started working clinically. I have always had a passion about how we can unite clinical practice and midwifery research, being able to make a culture change within hospitals to achieve better outcomes for patients.
