Exploring preimplantation DNA repair mechanisms, non-invasive methods and the epigenetic avenues for embryo genetic testing
I am a 5th year DPhil student and graduate of the MSc in Clinical Embryology. I work at the Oxford Science Park in Prof. Dagan Wells' research laboratory.
My research interests involve epigenetics, genomic imprinting, chromosome balance and non-invasive methods of embryo genetic testing.
Diverse methodologies have been proposed to analyse the genetics of the embryo non-invasively. My research focuses on the evaluation of the accuracy of some of these methodologies and on the development of new technologies.
I am also collaborating on a project that aims to develop a new method to analyse in more depth and with greater reliability how different genomic imprinted genes behave in the inner cell mass and trophectoderm of preimplantation human embryos.
