I acquired a First Class Honours in Biomedical Sciences Bsc degree from Brunel University London and a Welcome Trust Summer Scholarship to undertake a research project on M. Tuberculosis. I moved to Oxford City and ultimately obtained a PhD in Biomedical Sciences Research from Brunel University London in collaboration with the Nuffield Department of Women's & Reproductive Health under the supervision of Dr Manu Vatish (University of Oxford).
My research focuses on investigating the cargo expression and function, and potential differences of placental syncytiotrophoblast derived extracellular vesicles (STBEV) isolated from normal and preeclamptic pregnancies' placentae and plasma. Also, my research involves the novel functions of placental capillary pericytes and its derived extracellular vesicles.
