\n \n \n \nThis project focused on how women, especially those from the Global Majority, experience a common monitoring process during labour. CTGs often create challenges for women and clinicians, especially in ensuring its use is respectful and patient centred. \r\n\r\nIn this Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) project, women acted as co-researchers. A live artist and facilitators were also included to make the process engaging and collaborative. This approach made them active participants in identifying problems and creating solutions.

The study, conducted by a multidisciplinary team led by Lydia Coxon and her colleagues, represents a critical advancement in understanding the triggers and variability of these debilitating episodes.

This is a new campaign by Wellbeing of Women that calls on organisations to commit to recognising that the menopause is a workplace issue, and that women need support, as well as talking respectfully and openly about the menopause, and actively supporting and informing colleagues.

ChatGPT can generate text that sounds remarkably human\u2014so much so that humans cannot discern between text written by ChatGPT and that produced by humans. People worldwide use it for tasks ranging from managing finances to writing poetry, often with impressive results. Recently, however, its use in providing medical advice has raised significant concerns.

\n \n \n \nProfessor Ahmed Ahmed and Dr Nancy Zaarour have received funding from Cancer Research UK to undertake preclinical testing of a preventative vaccine for ovarian cancer. The vaccine would teach the immune system to recognise and attack the earliest stages of ovarian cancer. The team will receive up to \u00a3600,000 for the study over the next three years to support lab research into the vaccine.

\n \n \n \nIt is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of our esteemed colleague, Professor Christopher Redman.\r\n\r\nChris was a global pioneer in maternity care. A physician by training, he was among the first to recognise the critical importance of both pre-existing medical conditions and diseases unique to pregnancy, particularly pre-eclampsia, in ensuring the safety of mother and child. His work in this area made him a world leader.
