ABOUT OUR EVENT
The Nuffield Department of Women’s & Reproductive Health invites you to this Edinburgh-Oxford Women’s Health Networking Event on Wednesday 9th June 2021, from 9am to 12pm. This virtual event provides students with the opportunity to expand their connections in the women’s health field in a friendly, open and inclusive setting.
The event will begin with welcome talks from Professor Krina Zondervan from Oxford and Professor Colin Duncan from Edinburgh. They will be followed by presentations from both Edinburgh and Oxford students, and then finish with break-out rooms to allow for further discussion and networking. We hope to see many of you there.
ABSTRACTS & HOW TO BOOK
We are currently looking for students and post docs from both Edinburgh and Oxford to present their research through a short presentation. This will provide students with a great opportunity to gain experience presenting their research, whilst also forming connections with students and PIs from Edinburgh and Oxford. There is also the opportunity to win a prize for the best presentation, which will be awarded by PIs from Edinburgh and Oxford.
If you are interested in taking the opportunity to present at the event and showcase your research, please submit a brief abstract at the same time as booking your place using the link below. Presentations will be 10 minutes long, including questions, in which you can present your project, most interesting result or your future experimental plans. The suggested format is: introduction, methods, results, conclusion.
Please submit your brief abstract (~250 words) when booking your place if you are also interested in presenting.
However, if you do not wish to present, you should still book your place below, come along and enjoy the presentations and networking!
