DPHIL STUDENT

After achieving a Magna Cum Laude from my Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences at Cornell University, USA and obtaining my Medical degree at Heidelberg University in Germany, I finished a residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Turkey where I became interested in endometriosis. I experienced first hand the frustration the patients with endometriosis face due to the lack of an easy diagnostic technique and a cure. Therefore, I decided to deepen my understanding of the disease and be a part of the research team who are doing extensive research on endometriosis.

I have joined the Department of Women's and Reproductive Health under the supervision of Dr. Krina Zondervan, Dr. Christian Becker and Dr. Nilufer Rahmioglu as a DPhil student. I will be working on the COHERE project and on the genetics of endometriosis in the Eastern Mediterranean population.
