Abstract:

Mitochondria transplantation is a potential treatment to overcome pathological conditions caused by impaired mitochondrial function and hence impaired cell function. Drawback to this approach is that freshly prepared mitochondria are required for transplantation. Our company has developed an isolation method for storable functionally and structurally preserved mitochondria. I will present characters and utility of this storable mitochondria with both in vitro and in vivo experiments.
